I went to the Maculele class on Friday and Mestranda took time out of the class to help us and that one on one basis is important in the art of Capoeira. Remember to Jinga and go Maculele!!!

Rasheed and I just want to thank Juba, Fantasma, Abbrehizino, Gulie, Zulu, and last but not least Mestre Fran for teaching us the basics to capoeira. We love the friday classes so much. That is the most fun thing we have done in our whole life. We plan on coming back. Cant wait to get cord!!!

Mestre Fran is one of the most energetic, positive, and supportive people I've ever met. He's an incredible capoeirista and a very effective teacher. Most importantly, I keep coming away from his classes with a smile on my face.

Capoeira is a completely balanced art form, and Capoeira Maculelê Decatur provides the ideal forum for experiencing its music, sport, dance and community. My son practices automatically when he is away from class and attends every workshop and public event he can. His passion is so infectious that after watching him play for a couple years, I couldn't resist trying it myself. We are fortunate to have truly amazing teachers here in Decatur, and now that Mestre Fran and Mestranda Sara are here for an extended stay, we have direct access to unsurpassed authenticity. Axé!
